Gustav Mahler Academy - Application deadline 27 February!
Based in Bolzano, Italy, the Gustav Mahler Academy is one of the leading summer courses in Europe and received huge media attention last summer for its recording and tour of Mahler symphonies on period instruments under Philipp von Steinaecker.
This two-year course offers a completely unique learning experience focusing on masterclasses, chamber music and orchestra. The Academy’s highly acclaimed originalklang project (Year Two), offers modern musicians the rare opportunity to experience the world of period instruments and performance practice.
The application is open to students, aged between 18 and 26 years, of the following instruments:
flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, horn, trombone, violin, viola, cello, double bass;
And to singers of all voice ranges!
