International Piano Competition of Ile-de-France 2022

The 23rd International Piano Competition of Ile-de-France will be held from 4 to 11 June 2022 in Maisons-Laffitte (Yvelines - France). This prestigious annual event welcomes 230 candidates from the world's leading music schools. Anne Queffélec, Honorary President, the town of Maisons-Laffitte and numerous partnerships support the Opus Yvelines association, organiser of the competition.

An international competition open to all
With 15 progressive levels, the competition is open to all pianists, from beginners to advanced (the three cycles of the French conservatory, Superior and Excellence), but also to adult Amateurs at Concert level. The Concert Diploma category is restricted to professional pianists only. They are given the opportunity to perform in public and to obtain the opinion of an international jury. The competition is a genuine stepping stone in the artistic progression of this new generation.

The jury of the Competition is composed of international musicians. The jury for the Concert Pianist category is chaired by Abdel Rahman El Bacha (Lebanon), and includes Pascal Amoyel (France), Momo Kodama (Japan), Ronan Magill (Great Britain) and Elena Rozanova (Russia). Jury members for the other competition levels are: Paul Blacher (France), Gaspard Dehaene (France), Edda Erlendsdóttir (Iceland), Sayaka Funakoshi (Japan), Anne Lebozec (France), Xenia Maliarevitch (Russia), Isabelle Oehmichen (France), Paolo Rigutto (France), Fernando Rossano (France/Italy), Chantal Stigliani (France) and Gabriella Torma (Hungary).
Prize money of 11,000 euros, 16 recitals, masterclass, workshop...
In each category, the winner will be awarded a prize. The total prize money amounts to 11,000 euros, plus 16 recitals (Paris, Maisons-Laffitte, Mesnil-le-Roi, Croissy-Sur-Seine, Tremblay-en-France, Lyon, Toulouse, Pamiers, Nohant, Paraza), a workshop in Budapest, masterclasses and a musical afternoon in Paris.
