Previous Measures on COVID-19 Withdrawn at the University of Szeged

From the 1st July, among others, official foreign assignments can be ordered and official foreign visitors may be received and events with the participation of more than 100 people can be organized with a special consent. University buildings - with the exception of dormitory buildings - will be open for university students.

The management of the SZTE informs university members on the measures to be applied after the cessation of the state of emergency in a joint circular issued by the Rector and Chancellor of the University.


According to the circular, official foreign assignments can be ordered and official foreign visitors may be received. Employees can resume travelling abroad at their own risk with respect to any current epidemic situations and must report their movements to their immediate supervisors.


In order to prevent a human epidemic causing mass illness endangering the safety of life and property, to reduce personal encounters in all areas of life to protect the health and lives of citizens, an individual electronic permit from the Coronavirus Operative Committee (coronavirus.jelentes@rekt.szte.hu) is required to hold an event with the participation of more than 100 people, both outdoor and indoor places.


University buildings - with the exception of dormitory buildings - will be open for university students. The Director of Educational Affairs will lease the dormitory operational needs and accommodation matters with the Rector who will than make a decision.


Working from home at the University of Szeged has been revoked and is only possible by entering a new individual employer agreement.

From the 1st July 2020, the following circulars shall be repealed:
