2024. September 26.

The world is opening up for citizens of the University of Szeged with the Pannónia Scholarship Program. 


With the Pannónia Scholarship Program, valuable international and unforgettable experiences await students and teachers of SZTE outside and within Europe, in almost any country in the world. The amount of support can be up to 400,000 HUF per month.

Our piano student, Siyi Lu (Performance BA - Piano specialization, 3rd year) acquired a silver prize at the Amadeus International Music Award in the category of piano/Up-and-coming Star.

2024. September 13.

There will be a Dean’s break at the Béla Bartók Faculty of Arts, of the University of Szeged on the 30th and 31st of October (Wednesday, Thursday).

No classes will be held these days and since our building will be closed, there will be no opportunity for you to practice during this time.

2024. September 13.

The swearing-in ceremony of the newly admitted foreign students of the University of Szeged ended with a fun party on Thursday evening. The hundred of international students who appeared on Dugonics Square were greeted by Prof. Dr. Péter Zakar, SZTE's vice-rector for international and public relations, as well as the Deans of the faculties and the managers responsible for international relations. According to the university's long-standing tradition, foreign first-year students were awarded with the START scholarships to help start their studies at SZTE this year.

If you would like spend some extra time with practicing, now is the perfect time for you!


During the study period our building will be open on Saturdays from 14:00 to 18:00, so feel free to come and play.

The first Orientation Day for freshmen was held at the Béla Bartók Faculty of Arts, with the participation of fifteen first year students coming from five different countries such as China, Vietnam, Bali, Serbia and Spain.

For the first time, the Béla Bartók Faculty of Arts is organizing an orientation day for first year students, in order for them to get to know the city of Szeged and all the important information concerning their studies spent at the University of Szeged.
