For the 10th time International Johannes Brahms Chamber Music Competition (ICMC) is presented for a wide audience. The event is organised by Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music and it will take place on May 14th–18th 2025 in Gdańsk, Poland.
Established in 1997 and held every three years, the prestigious competition is the perfect launching pad for chamber music ensembles.
With a prize pool of EUR 17,500 it is open to PIANO QUARTETS (violin, viola, cello, piano) and PIANO TRIOS (violin, cello, piano) (clarinet, cello, piano) of all nationalities under the age of 33 (competitors must be born after May14th of 1992).
The repertoire possibilities have been recently wided, to create more space that allows young ensembles to present themselves from their best sites. In order to achieve a good and healthy atmosphere to all the competitiors, they are providing a transparent system of judging, and ensuring that all participants will have the possibility to get feedback from the international jurors.
